Gary’s Obituary Gary David Tekieli, 64, of Rachel, died on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at his home in Rachel. He was born January 29, 1955 in Fairmont, the youngest child of the late Edward and Genevieve Gorey Tekieli. He was a 1973 graduate of Farmington High School and earned two degrees from Fairmont State University: a B.S. in Political Science and a B.S. in Criminal Justice. He loved sports, especially football, and enjoyed playing the saxophone and music. He was especially close to his son. Survivors include: his wife, Mary Ann Riggleman Tekieli; a son: David Andrew Tekieli, at home; a sister: Dr. Mary Ellen Koay and husband Dr. Jack S. Koay of Fairmont; a brother: Carl Edward Tekieli of Morgantown; a niece: Dr. Jennifer Koay and husband Clay White of Morgantown and daughter Genevieve Grace; a nephew: Shawn Tekieli of Los angeles, California; his aunts: Irene Gorey, Carol Gotses, Natalie Bush, and Patty Tekieli; an uncle, Robert C. Gorey, Sr.; 4 brothers-in-law; and several additional nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home, 3171 Husky Highway, Farmington, on Friday from 2-8 p.m. The rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Mannington on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev.
