F. Elaine Hosier, 78, of Anderson, passed away on December 24, 2019 at home after an extended illness. She was born on June 10, 1941 in Elwood, Indiana and resided most of her life in Anderson. Elaine graduated from Anderson High School in 1959, and received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Ball State University in 1983. She was a registered nurse for Community Hospital Anderson. She was a member of the Anderson First Church of the Nazarene and The Red Hat Society. Elaine was once an avid square dancer, and she liked to cook, crochet, and to do all sorts of crafts and puzzles. Elaine is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Howard Hosier; children, Cheryl Crowder of Muncie and Aaron Willhoite of Indianapolis; step-children, Pam (Greg) Bohlander of Elwood and Mark (Dena) Hosier of Alexandria; grandchildren, Cory, Kaitlin, Laura, Whitney, Aneize, Zorn, Reagan, Presley, Alex, and Amelia; and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Marta (Larry) Shally, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Imogene Coe; father and step-mother, Robert and Ruth Coe; son, Troy Willhoite; step-son, Kevin Hosier; and granddaughter, Kylie. Visitation will be held Monday December 30, 2019, 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St. Anderson, IN. Services will follow visitation at 2:30 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Klinger officiating. Burial will take place in the K of P, I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton, IN.
