Edna Diehl Britton, age 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 22,2019 at her home in Nokesville, Va. She was born on July 4, 1926 in Nokesville, Va. Edna graduated from Brentsville District High School in 1947. She worked at the Pentagon, the telephone company, and retired from the United States Postal Service. She enjoyed driving around with her sister and friends, and talking to just about anyone she met. She also liked playing cards, tile, and board games with family. Survivors include four children, Barbara McIntosh (Steve), Sherri Wallen (Jimmy), Robert Britton II and Carl Britton; one sister: Ruth Owens; seven grandchildren, Heather McIntosh, Daniel McEwen (Amelia),Jaclyn Fries (Jake), J.D. Wallen, Amy Britton, Zach Wallen, and Jason Britton; and two great-grandchildren, Blake Bailey and Bryce McEwen. She is predeceased by her husband Robert Britton; siblings Lloyd, Flory Diehl, Ray Diehl, Mae (Diehl) Mann, and Ralph Diehl; by her mother Vernie (Flory) Diehl and Father Daniel Saylor. A Graveside Service Will be held Friday, December 27, 2019 at 1:00P.M., at Valley View Cemetery, Nokesville Virginia with Pastor Charlotte Bear Officiating.
