Dorothy’s Obituary Dorothy Lucille Laskoskie, 89, passed away December 11, 2019 in Chappell Hill. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 14, 2019 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Father Jozef Musiol officiating. Burial will follow at Houston Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2019 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. during the visitation. Dorothy Laskoskie was born in Washington, Texas on September 9, 1930 to Wallace and Selma (Armatys) Kujawa. She married the love of her life, August R. Laskoskie, on June 1, 1949 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. She was also baptized and confirmed at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Dorothy loved her job as a house keeper at the Brenham State School. Dorothy was a member of VFW Post 4007 and she loved crocheting. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, sewing, playing dominoes, cards, Yahtzee and puzzles. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Mary Laskoskie of Bryan, Eugene and Diane Laskoskie of Chappell Hill; daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothea and Glenn Meinecke of Brenham, Linda and Jerry Rogers of Chappell Hill, Helen and Alvin Gurka of Chappell Hill, Peggy and Robert Laake of Huntsville; grandchildren, Kristina (Alan) Beckendorf, Truby Vanee (Chad) Toner, Jimmy (Aline) Laskoskie, Amy (Byron) Hohlt, Richard (Jessica) Laskoskie, Angela (David) Mlcak, Mike (Jessica) Rogers, Jacob Gurka, Nathan Gurka, and Josephine Gurka; great-grandchildren, Riley Janes, Sidney and Kylee Toner, Abigail and Hayley Laskoskie, Vance, Vaylnn and Von Hohlt, Maybrie Laskoskie, Matthew, Timothy, Abigail, Lucas Mlcak, and Cecelia, Hattie and Molly Rogers. She was preceded in death by her husband, August R. Laskoskie; parents, Wallace and Selma Kujawa; aunt, Pauline Mikolajewski; sister, Carolyn Kujawa; great-grandson, Joseph Mlcak, and other family members. Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Laskoskie, Chad Toner, Byron Hohlt, Richard Laskoskie, Mike Rogers, David Mlcak, Jacob Gurka, Nathan Gurka, Riley Janes, and Matthew Mlcak.
