Dorothy L. O’ Lear, age 89, of Casco Twp., formerly from Port Sanilac, passed away peacefully at home on December 23, 2019. She was born March 12, 1930 in Waldo, Ohio to the late Harold and Bernice Cook. She graduated Cardington- Lincoln High School. Dorothy married Robert O’ Lear on October 23, 1948, who preceded her in death in 1992. She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Port Sanilac. Dorothy loved to sew, cook, golf, and spend the winters at her other home in Safety Harbor, Florida. She is survived by her children, Kristine (Larry) Curtis and Daniel (Linda) O’ Lear; grandchildren, Shelly Curtis, Matthew O’ Lear, and Robert O’ Lear; and daughter- in- law, Debra O’ Lear. She is preceded in death by her son, James O’ Lear, who passed away on December 12, 2013; as well as her siblings, Donna Bell Miley, Norma Chamberlain, and Kenneth Cook. A funeral service will take place on Friday, December 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp., visiting hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday prior to the service.
