Dorothy J. Croff, age 94, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Gerber Memorial Hospital in Fremont. She was born April 14, 1925 in Owosso, MI to Walter and Rachel Smith. Dorothy graduated from Muskegon Heights High School. On March 9, 1946, she married Laurence E. Croff in Shelby, MI and spent her life raising and caring for her family. Dorothy was a charter member of Unity United Methodist Church where she served as secretary, treasurer and was the church archivist. Survivors include her 4 children, Wayne Croff, Dianna (Phillip) Smith, Roger (Sherri) Croff, Nancy Croff Nolan; 6 grandchildren, Andrea (Joshua) Mulder, Joshua (Mollie) Smith, Brandy (Dominic) Patino, Laura Nolan, Joshua Croff, Paige Croff; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence E. Croff and her daughter, Barbara Taylor. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W Sherman Blvd, Muskegon, MI 49441 with the Rev. John H. Brown officiating. Interment to follow for immediate family. Visitation will be held 12:30-1:00 PM Tuesday, prior to the service. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Love, Inc.
