Donna L. Brooking Pierce Boyles, 87, of Oolitic went home peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior on October 19, 2019. By her side was her husband of 24 years, William David Boyles, and granddaughter and caregiver, Desiree Ottersbach. She was born on March 5, 1932, in Washington, Indiana. She first married Richard M. Pierce on April 21, 1951 and he preceded her in death in 1977. She worked at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Indiana for 29 years. Surviving Donna are husband, William David Boyles of Oolitic; sister, Marilyn (Daniel) Brooking Gipe of Brownsburg; Daughters, Melanie Pierce Wagoner (Tim) of Bedford and Leonna “Lea” Pierce Havens (David) of Texas; son, Ron Pierce (Connie) of Bedford; stepdaughters, Diana Boyles Toliver (Jeff), Sherry Boyles of Bedford and Sheila Boyles of Bloomington; grandchildren: Richard D. Havens (Saundra) and Autumn Greene (Gary) of Texas, Robin Pierce Robertson (Mike) of Springville, Desiree Pierce Ottersbach (Keith) of Medora, Tyler Wagoner (Ruby) of Paoli, Keira Toliver Bex (Justin) of Huron, Kyle Toliver (Leeona) of Mitchell, Chris Boyles (Ara) of Colorado; 15 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews as well. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Zula Brooking; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter. Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes with Pastor Jerry Allen officiating. Burial to follow at Tunnelton Cemetery. Visitation will be at 10:00 until the hour of service at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes.
