Obituary Donald E. “Smitty” Smith, age 77, Denmark Twp., died early Saturday morning at his residence. He was born September 8, 1942 in East Millsboro, PA, the son of James & Eliza (Brooks) Smith and has lived in the Jefferson area the past 42 years, coming from Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Smith was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp, serving during the Vietnam Era. He was married to Shirley A. Morse on July 3, 1965 in Pittsburgh. Smitty was a self-employed truck driver, servicing area oil fields. His relaxation time was painting ceramics. Survivors include his wife, Shirley; three children, Jim (Kathy) Smith & Dawn Marie Woodford, both of Delaware and Bill Smith of Denmark Twp.; a granddaughter, Eliza (Tony) Glenboski of Parma Hts. and a sister, Dorothy Jordan of Zelienople, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters. At Mr. Smith’s request, no services will be held.
