David’s Obituary HANEY, David E. – of Burton, MI, age 70, joyously joined his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 in Naples, FL. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday, January 6, 2020 at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 6100 Richfield Road, Flint, MI 48506; Pastor Leroy Cole officiating. Interment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 1-4 PM and 5-8 PM Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM Monday, January 6, 2020 at Calvary Presbyterian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Peace Presbyterian Church, in David’s memory. David was born in Yakima, Washington on June 18, 1949, son of the late Phillip and Ruby (McAdams) Haney. He and Vickie (Abraham) were married on March 3, 1972. David moved to Flint, MI in 1967 to attend GMI graduating in 1972 and then received his master’s degree from U of M-Flint. He retired from General Motors/Delphi in 2004 after 37 years of service. David was a lifelong Presbyterian and Elder, serving at Calvary and Peace Presbyterian Churches. He served on numerous committees of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, of the Midwest. David is survived by his wife of 47 years, Vickie; 2 children, Robert Haney and Christa (Luke) Karas; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Keith (Sandra) Haney; nieces, nephews, life-long friend, Fred Krause and many other loving friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Doris Haney and her son, Phillip.
