Obituary Daniel Melvin Wood, age 54, of Swannanoa, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville. Mr. Wood was born on August 12, 1965, in San Diego, California, to the late Lewis Arthur Wood and Jackie Rose Lenny. He attended St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and was a butcher for Ingles grocery store. Mr. Wood loved his family and adored spending time with his children. He also enjoyed grilling out, working around the house and gardening. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Benjamin Wood; two daughters, Ekaterina and Daniela Wood; three brothers, William Wood and wife Candice of Mills River, NC, Stephen Wood and Joe Carrasco, both of San Diego, CA.; and a loving extended family.
