Carolyn Ruth Hoskins-Byrd, 87, of Springville, passed away October 16, 2019. Born July 18, 1932 in Bedford, she was the daughter of William and Ruth Manzenberger. She first married Jessie Lee Hoskins, he preceded her in death in October 1990. She then married Delbert Preston Byrd and he preceded her in death February 2013. Carolyn retired from Visteon after ten years and was a member of Guthrie Christian Church. Surviving are her children, William Ray (Denny) Hoskins, Vivian Hoskins-Hanke, Barbara (Dan) Hoskins-Hackett, Debra Hoskins-Anderson, Glenn “Spanky” (Teresa) Hoskins, Pam (Glenn) Sitzes; ten grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis Root and Jean Sims; one brother, Michael (Janet) Manzenberger; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jessie Hoskins; husband, Preston Byrd; step-daughter, Rhonda Harrell; grandson, David Hoskins; great-grandson, Tanner Russell in infancy. Funeral service will be Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 10 A.M. at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes with George Sites officiating. Burial will follow in Sheeks Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be on Friday, October 18, 2019 from 4-8 P.M. at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes.
