Obituary Carolyn Dean Pruitt Chesnee, SC: Carolyn Dean Pruitt, 76, peacefully went to be with Jesus, Friday, December 20, 2019. Born December 18, 1943 in Startex, SC she was the wife of the late John Pruitt and the daughter of the late Woodrow and Gladys Davis. She was a devoted Christian who loved Jesus, and was a faithful member of Riding for Jesus Cowboy Church. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart and was known as “Mama” to so many who weren’t even her children. She was a living example of the love and grace of Christ in her caring for the needs of others she knew and loved. She is survived by a son Jerry Parker; three daughters Shelly Camby and husband Chris, Deborah Johnston, and Angie Case; bonus children Leroy Pruitt and wife Angel, Melinda Toney and husband Matt, and Mary Pruitt-Chapman; a brother David Davis and wife Martha; sisters Linda Simpson and husband Rick, and Betty Parker; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She was predeceased by a sister Shirley Gahagan. A celebration of her life will be 2:00pm Monday, December 23, 2019 at Riding for Jesus Cowboy Church officiated by Rev. Mitch Trammel and Rev.
