On March 2, 1940, Billie Walker made her grand entrance into the world in Denver Colorado. She was chosen (adopted) by William and Evelyn Walker and they took her home to their ranch in Le Veta, Colorado, where she spent her adventurous childhood working and living on a homestead. She grew up with a menagerie of pets and developed a love of history, travel and books. She also gained a love for God and a strong work ethic which she carried with her throughout her life.
