Obituary Betty McMillen, 95, of Lake Odessa passed away Saturday December 21, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Lake Odessa to Benjamin and Zella Hazzard on July 2, 1924. Betty was predeceased by her brother Max Hazzard, sisters; Maxine Hazzard Torrey, Marguerite Hazzard-Scott, Husbands; Maurice Storey married in 1942 and he passed in 1943, LaRue McMillen in 1947 until he passed in 2001, Duward Strong from 2003 until his passing in 2017. Survivors include: Children; Marian (Tom) McMillen Weinberg, Lorraine (Don Garlock) McMillen and Delores McMillen, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. Betty enjoyed many careers including hair dresser, dental assistant, and real estate. Her hobbies included bee keeping, gardening and hunting morel mushrooms. According to her wish’s cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. The family would appreciate any donations be given to Kindred Hospice.
