Betty Jean Wood, age 76, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Pikeville Medical Center. She spent most of her life in Dickenson County and was a member of Clintwood Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J C Wood; her parents, Emma Jean and Jim Cowan and Theodore Hall; her brother, Charlie Hall; and her sister, Barbara Norris. Survivors Include: Son: Jim Wood and wife, Twyla of Waynesboro Virginia Daughter: Melissa Wood of Clintwood, Virginia Two Grandsons: Stacy Wood and John Henry Two Nephews: Bob Hall and wife Sandy and their children, Scott, Hayden, and Christina; and Rich Hall Best Friends: Dale Oslin and Cindy Mullins Special thanks to Jennifer Kendrick and Teresa Sykes for all their love and care. Betty loved her church and working in the Clothes Closet. A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Clintwood Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m. with Clergyman Mark Huffine officiating.
