Barbara’s Obituary Barbara June Parsons, 84, of Macedonia, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 25, 2019. Born September 9, 1935 in Six, West Virginia, June was the middle child of the late Riley and Lucille Campbell. In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her husband James, her sister Carolyn Rakes and her brother Eugene Campbell. June was a majorette in high school, where she met her high school sweetheart, James Parsons. Jim and June married on April 21, 1957 and together they moved to Cleveland, Ohio to start their new life. Jim and June would go on to raise six children and be married for 61 years. June is survived by her six children Junetta (Rick) Dlugokecki, Angela (Mike) Carano, Carolyn (Junior) Colvin, Jimmy (Maria) Parsons, Regina (Ed) Wegryn and Elizabeth (Diego) Garcia; her 14 grandchildren: Sarah, Corey, Reilly, Amanda, Gina, Pete, Joey, Limeri, Giana, Liam, Tommy, Shelby, Lilly, Ian and 6 great grandchildren. June was a mother, housewife, Avon representative and hairdresser. For 30+ years, she worked as a hairdresser at Oak Park Nursing Home and received great pleasure from making the residents look and feel their best. She loved cooking, baking, sewing, quilting, doing puzzles and most of all caring for her children and grandchildren. June will be remembered as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend. She was loved by all that knew her. May her soul rest in peace. Read More
