Obituary Arvin Haskel “Hack” Simpson , the son of the late Logan and Ethel Cox Simpson was born November 3, 1941 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at his home in the Philipsburg Community of Marion County. He was 78 years, 1 month and 7 days of age. He was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom, a rental property manager and backhoe operator. He is survived by his wife: Saundra Patterson Simpson; a sister: Audrey Farmer of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Jeffrey Simpson and wife Meghan of Tennessee, James Simpson and Kelli Simpson both of Campbellsville; a great-grandchild: Lily Jo Simpson; nieces and nephews: Debbie Beard and husband Kevin, Mike Farmer and wife Holly and Mark Kessinger. Also survived by his caregivers: Lanny and Donna Sutton, Chad and Stacey Rucker and Vickie Staggie. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sons: James Logan Simpson, Timothy Simpson and Patrick Simpson and a sister: Ina Kessinger. The funeral service for “Hack” Simpson will be Saturday, December 14, 2019 in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with Bro. Alex Cox and Bro. Jimmie Sharp officiating. Visitation after 11:00 A.M. Saturday until time for service. Memorials are suggested to Hosparus of Green River and can be made at the funeral home.
