Ann’s Obituary Ann Rosalie Clowers, 63, of Texarkana, TX, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 2, 2019, in a local hospital. She was born October 7, 1956, in Canyon, TX, to Joseph Nelson Knight, Sr. and Velva Joy Sprague Knight. A graduate of the University of Arkansas, she was employed with Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital in Human Resources. She was also co-owner of Pop’s Place and Custom Aire. She was active in many civic organizations such as Daughters of the American Revolution, and was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. She loved to spend time with her husband, Tony, and loved to tell how they were married on April Fools Day by a magician! She was an adventurous person who loved going on trips, especially to Florida or fishing at Gaston’s. Since she and Tony often flew to their destination, she even learned to fly the airplane. She loved her work, and enjoyed decorating and landscaping. She was a caring and generous person who gave her time to others unselfishly. Zachary remembers that she always talked about her “baby boy” and that she would introduce him as her “baby boy” to everyone she met. She is left to cherish her memory her husband, Tony Clowers; one son, Zachary Clapp; one daughter, Toni Clowers; a brother, Joseph (Joe) Nelson Knight, Jr., and wife Nelda; grandchildren, Miranda Keeney and Jeffrey Reich; nephews, Matthew Peter Knight, Andrew Joseph Knight, and Jeff Clapp; niece, Jaime Clapp; aunt, Judy Lindsey and husband, Roy; and a number of other relatives and many friends. Her dogs, Gumbo, Gus, and Gabbie, were also special to her, as she took them in as strays. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 6, 2019, in the Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas Chapel. Burial will be at 1:00 P.M. at Green Cemetery, Foreman, AR. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Texarkana Animal Shelter, 203 Harrison St., Texarkana, AR 71854. Read More
