North Tazewell, VA- Allen Albert Boothe, Sr., 63, of North Tazewell, VA, died Friday December 20, 2019 at the Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, VA. Born August 20, 1956 in Richlands, VA, he was a son of the late Pierce Boothe and Flossie Steele Boothe. Mr. Boothe was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. and was a former service technician for General Tire and King Tire Service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Boothe and Evangeline “Van” Boothe Poteet, a brother Luther Boothe. Survivors include his wife, Betty McFarland Boothe; sons, Christopher Boothe and wife Sandy of Bluefield, VA and Allen A. Boothe, Jr. of Austin, TX; step children; Stacy Gwyn of Ararat, VA and Stephanie Tiller of Hillsville, VA, siblings, Steve Boothe and wife Marcie of Grapevine, TX, Russ Boothe and wife Wanda of Bluefield, VA, Craig Boothe and wife Margie of Bluefield, VA, and William “Arnie” Boothe of Bluefield, WV; sister-in-law, Sherry Boothe, four grandchildren; Uma Boothe, Keaton Boothe, Gavin Boothe and Jillian Boothe, five step- grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday December 23, 2019 at 2:00 PM from the Grandview Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Rick Bourne officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 until the service hour at the Mausoleum where entombment will follow. Military graveside rites will be provided by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard.
