Addie Virginia York Young, 69, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. Addie was born on November 8, 1950, in Randolph Co., to the late David Samuel York and Maxine Viola Woodell York. She was retired from Ramtex and enjoyed gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael O’Rouke Young; son, Kenneth Young; daughter, Phyllis Shaw; brothers, Jesse York and Grady York. Surviving are her sisters, Edna Casey of Randleman, Barbara Clodfelter of Randleman; brothers, David York of Asheboro, Donnie York of Asheboro, Eugene York of Asheboro; sister-in-law, Doris York of Coleridge; grandchildren, Rodney Ellison and wife Brianna, Jonathan Shaw and wife Amber, Kenneth Young and wife Brittney; great grandchildren, Madaline Young, Lucas Ellison, Felicity Shaw. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2019.
