Opal Jane De La Rosa, 73, of Hutchinson, died October 21, 2019, at Reflection Living Bloom House, Hutchinson. She was born September 2, 1946, in Wichita, to Andre and Dorothy Maxine (Patton) De La Rosa.

Jane was a 1964 graduate of Kingman High School, Kingman, and attended beauty school in Decatur, IL. She retired from Lowen Corporation as a design proofer after almost 30 years of service. Jane enjoyed reading, thrift shopping, swimming, playing golf, attending rock concerts and going to her grandchildren’s activities. She was artistic, a huge fan of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, John Fogerty and the Rolling Stones, and decorated her world with dragonflies.

She was previously married to Kenneth Conner, William J. Mings (deceased) and Paul L. Pristach.

Jane is survived by: sisters, Betty De La Rosa of Irvine, CA, and Dr. Victoria Moots of Kingman; children, Josephine ‘Josie’ (David Planthold) Thompson of Hutchinson, LeRoy (fiancée, Jennifer Terry) Pristach of Los Angeles, CA, Cynthia ‘Cyndi’ (John) Lundy of Bridge Creek, OK, Andre (Wendy) Pristach of Sweetwater, TN, and Dena Conner of Hutchinson; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Daniel De La Rosa.

Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Minister Brenden Pristach of Rolla, MO, officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2019, at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
