Mr. Anthony Sherrod Epps, known to many as “Andy” or “Capp” was born Wednesday, April 4, 1973 in Jackson, MS to the late Mr. Alex Epps Jr. & Frances Holland-Epps. Anthony entered into Heaven’s gates on Wednesday, September 25, 2019.

Anthony was an Amazing Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Father, Grandfather, Pilar of the Community, and Friend.

He is a product of Jackson Public Schools. He began his education at Key Elementary, moving on to Blackburn Jr. High, and graduating from thee one and only Lanier High School #833. Following high school, he went on to attend Jackson State University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and met his loving wife.

Anthony was a very hands on individual who acquired a true love for BMX bicycles, gas powered remote control cars, motorcycles, and four wheelers. Anything with nuts, bolts and screws peaked his interest enough to take it apart and put it back together. Anthony’s father, brothers and sister were all motorcycle riders, however, “Can’t Nobody Ride It Like Capp”. Anthony’s extreme love for bikes and motor bikes grew into a hobby as well as a need for stunts and speed. Because he was so passionate and such a daredevil, he begin participating in annual parades and motorcycle showcases throughout the city with his brothers from another mother, Mista Maine Event and Eric. Anthony loved helping and giving back to his “Georgetown” community. He was also an exceptional small engine mechanic and motorcycle technician who enjoyed repairing anything with a motor. Anthony always looked forward to the many parades and festivities surrounding his community. He loved giving back while showcasing his many toys, talents and living up to his reputation of “Can’t Nobody Ride It Like Capp”.

Anthony was preceded in death by both parents, Alex and Frances Epps; and sister Carole Elaine Holland. Anthony leaves to cherish his memories; Wife, Shirley Epps; Son: Malcom Clay; Daughters: Tiarra Knight, De’Lovely Taylor Sister: Ms. Latarsha Epps; Brothers: Alex Epps III, WC Hicks, Robert Walker, Jr., Eric, and Mark O’Quinn, Grandchildren: Malcom Clay Jr, Kennedy Clay, Anthony Clay; Brysin Head, Nieces, Ericka Epps, Arlexis Hayes, LaShunda Holland, Arie Hicks and Jayla Holland, Nephews, Mario Holland, Perry Holland, Keshawn Holland, Goddaughter: Vikita McIntyre, Special Neighbor: Lula Hamilton, Aunts; Annie Morris, Virginia Woods, Helene Holland and Bessie Epps; Uncles: James Holland and Larry B. Epps; A host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
