Shirley’s Obituary Shirley G. Pickler, 75, of Anamosa, formerly of Colorado Springs, CO, died Saturday, August 24, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from 5 to 6 pm Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa. Private memorial services for the family will be held later. Shirley Gladys Harvey was born March 27, 1944 in Wick, IA, the daughter or Lawrence and Gladys (Utsler) Harvey. She graduated from Ft. Dodge High School. She was married to William Pickler for 16 years. Shirley was employed as a department manager for K-Mart in Ft. Dodge for 16 years. She also worked for Atmel in Colorado Springs. She loved going to the casino, watching Jeopardy, playing cribbage and listening to music, especially Barbara Streisand, Abba, and Gladys Knight and the Pips. Those honoring her memory are her daughters Shanda (Bob) Rasmusson, Anamosa and Angela (Danny) Halligan, El Cajon, CA, grandchildren Ashley, Brody, Connor, Dylan, Shalynn and Javin, four great grandchildren, a brother Ricky Harvey, Lacona, IA and sisters-in-law Terri Harvey, Lacona, and JoAnn Harvey, Colorado Springs, as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters-in-law Dale and Roma, Larry and Wilma, and Bill. Read More
