Penny Lynn Grogan, 54, of Ewing, VA, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019 at her home following a battle with cancer. She was born in Danville, VA on October 19, 1964 to Phyllis Ann Nelson Street and the late Charles Conston Grogan. Penny had worked at Tri-State Health and Rehabilitation Center in Harrogate, TN for over 10 years. She was a member of Silver Leaf Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, Phyllis Street, she is survived by four children, Michael Grogan, Diane Grogan, Brittany Thornton and William Thornton; brother, Charles Grogan; three sisters, Kitty Milwee, Tabitha Schnell and Cynthia Chumley; seven grandchildren, Jayla, A’Mya, Christian, Noah, Riley, Conner and Sophia; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Robinette Funeral Home in Rose Hill, VA. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
