GEORGIA KING SNODDY Funeral Wishes and Obituary Services for Georgia K. Snoddy, 98, will be held at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home on Monday, August 26, 2019, 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Georgia was born on April 24, 1921, in Charlevoix, Michigan, to Dr. George W. King and Ella N. King. She grew up in Charlevoix and graduated from high school there. At the age of 21, she went to Chicago working as a bookkeeper for 6 years. It was there she met businessman, Robert Davis Snoddy. They were married on June 13, 1945, and both enjoyed careers in banking. She was retired from First Interstate Bank and a member of First Presbyterian Church. Upon retirement in 1970, they chose to live in Roswell, New Mexico, for its warm climate. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister, Lillian K. Foster. Her survivors include nephew, Judge H. G. Foster of Conway, Arkansas; step-daughter, Donna Ambrose of Oak Park, Illinois; step-grandsons, Lawrence Ambrose, DDS of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Captain Richard Ambrose of Chandler, Arizona; three great-grandchildren: Maria, Nicholas, and Lana.
