September 26, 1933 - July 15, 2019
Lanny Ross Coggin, Sr., age 85, of Springfield, was reunited with his beloved wife, Betty Quates Coggin, on Monday, July 15, 2019.
Mr. Coggin proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents Guy and Mary Biles Coggin; daughter June Coggin Griffith; and sisters Kate Lindsey, Lucille Brown, and Jean Holland.
Survivors include his children Joyce (Jerry) Dallas, Lanny R. Coggin, Jr., Guy (Kathy) Coggin, Carol Coggin, David (Shelly) Coggin and Tracey Coggin; son-in-law Bruce Griffith; grandchildren Tommy (Michelle) Johnson, Amber Coggin, Max Coggin, Ryleigh Coggin, and Ross Coggin; great grandson Brady Demonbreun; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nepwhews.
Visitation will take place at Anderson & Garrett Funeral Home on Thursday, July 18th from 3 P.M. until the hour of Service at 6:30 P.M. with Bro. David Royalty officiating.
Interment will take place at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Pegram, Tennessee on Friday, July 19th at 10 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church Joelton.
