Matthew’s Obituary Weatherhead Young Funeral Home 885 Mantoloking Road Brick, NJ 08723 Matthew Pellegrino Cuccinello, 29, of Jersey City, New Jersey left this world on July 17, 2019. From his birth on September 8, 1990, Matt always brought a sincere smile and upbeat enthusiasm into any situation. Born in Wappingers Falls, NY, Matt spent most of his life in Brick, NJ, graduating from Brick Township High School in 2008. He went on to earn a BA of Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 2012. Most recently, Matt worked as an associate at Oscar Health Insurance in New York City. Matt had a deep love for his family, often visiting them after their move to Florida. Matt is survived by his mother, Tracy Cuccinello, father Anthony Cuccinello, brother Douglas and sister Mia, all of Palm Coast, Fl; paternal grandfather Pellegrino ‘Sonny’ Cuccinello of Palm Coast, maternal grandmother, Katherine Gunthert of Rockville, MD, his numerous aunts and uncles: Julie and John Aiello (Port St Lucie, FL), Nicky and Roseann Cuccinello (Palm Coast), Gerard and Abby Gunthert (Atlanta, GA), Dana and Jim Curren (Wilmington, DE), Kevin and Katie Gunthert (Silver Spring, MD) Nanci Gunthert (Las Vegas, NV), Scott and Jeannie Gunthert (Cortlandt, NY) and Liz and Chris Leibundguth (Silver Spring, MD), all of his cousins and countless friends. He joins at rest his paternal grandmother, Geraldine Cuccinello and paternal grandfather, Gerard Gunthert. A memorial service will be held for Matthew at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road Brick, NJ on Saturday, July 27th from 12 noon until 4pm.
