Charles “Charlie” M. Bain, 63, passed away on June 27, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a longtime resident of Bargersville.
Charlie was born on April 2, 1956 in Indianapolis to James and Lula (Creech) Bain. They both precede him in passing.
He married Fay (Watson) Bain on August 7, 1993. She lovingly survives. Other survivors include his son, Terry Brown; daughters, Felecia White and Stacy Schmalz; grandsons Cameron Elmore, Lucas Schmalz, and Levi Schmalz; brother, Steve Bain; and sisters, Lynn Fodge, Gwyn Weyant, Donna Lawson, Eva Simpson, Mary Cartwright, and Norma Poe.
He is preceded in passing by his birth parents, James and Lula; mother, Avis Qualkinbush; brothers, Gene Bain, James “Bud” Bain; and sister, Helen Dilbone.
Charlie proudly served in the Unites States Marine Corps. from 1973-1977.
He worked for the Local 20 Union as a sheet metal worker. Charlie loved golfing, fishing, sitting on the back porch, and most importantly being with his grandchildren.
Polly Bailer will conduct a celebration of Charlie’s life on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton Street (U.S. 31) in Franklin. Friends and family may call on Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Franklin.
