Allen Gene "Junebug" Williams, Jr., husband of Theresa Buchanan Williams, was born August 2, 1968 in Traverse City, Michigan to the late Virige Lee Joshua Dinkins and William Dinkins of Sumter, SC. He grew up in Chicago, IL and Sumter, SC. Allen departed this life on June 4, 2019 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC.
Allen was educated in the public schools of Sumter, SC, graduating from Sumter High School. He was employed with Tom's 24-Hour Road Service, in which he loved working on trucks. He was a #1 Pittsburg Steelers fan, who enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. Allen truly had a heart of gold; and didn't mind putting others before himself. He loved playing basketball and dancing from a younger age.
Allen leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Theresa Buchanan Williams; his father, William Dinkins of the home; a mother-in-law, Catherine Porter; two sons, Marquitus (Latasha) Williams of VA and Marcus Dinkins of Sumter, SC; one daughter, Allyson Janay Williams of Sumter, SC; two stepdaughters, Lanikqua Buchanan of Sumter, SC and Diamond Buchanan of New Jersey; two stepsons, Dico Buchanan and Davon Alvarado both from New Jersey; eight grandchildren: Autumn, Mekhi and Miracle Williams, Braylan Dinkins, Omari, Laniyah and Malani Lewis, and India Buchanan; two brothers, Lonnie (Terracita) Lowery of Columbia, SC and Terry Davis of Sumter, SC; five sisters-in-law: Diane (Daniel) Bennett, Monique (John) Brandon, Re-nee Buchanan, Yvette (Jonathan) Boone and Latreal Andrews all of Sumter, SC; five brothers-in-law: Isaiah Buchanan, Darnell (Dawn) Buchanan of Florida; Anthony (Stacy) Buchanan of Rockhill, SC, Douglas (Francis) Porter and Nathan Rivers of New Jersey; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virige Lee Dinkins; grandmother, Ella Mae Dinkins; and grandfather, Sidney Dinkins, Sr.
Public Viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.
Mr. Williams will be placed in the church on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 11am for viewing until the hour of service.
Funeral Services will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Revelation Sanctuary Church of God 3925 US-15 Sumter, SC 29150, with Pastor Terry Dinkins Officiating.
Family will receive friends at the home, 12 South Magnolia Street Sumter, SC 29150.
