William’s Obituary William Douglas Shubert, 87, of Kings Mountain passed away, Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Summit Place, Kings Mountain. He was born July 20, 1931 in Gaston County, son of the late William Robert Shubert and Bertha Bollinger Shubert. William was a member of New Life Baptist Church. He is survived by his son, Rodney and Betty Shubert of Kings Mountain; step-son, Jeffrey Neal of Bessemer City; step-daughter, Teresa and Barry Costner of Bessemer City; brothers, Lanny Shubert, Joe Shubert and Ted Shubert; two grandchildren, Madison Shubert and Daniel Putnam; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052. A graveside service officiated by Rev. Dennis Gomez, will be held 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Armstrong Cemetery, Gastonia. Military honors will be conducted by Gaston County Honor Guard.
