Obituary William “Mr. Bill” Weikert, age 78, of Ringgold passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 at his residence. Bill was known as MacGyver to his family and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Carl and Harriett Weikert. Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Mary Weikert of Ringgold; daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Cliff Cason of Ringgold; son and daughter-in-law, David and Elizabeth Weikert of Louden, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne and Bill Doggett of Chevy Chase, MD; brother-in-law, Roger Herbart of Wixom, MI; two granddaughters, Emily and Molly Cason; and his loving dog, Ginger; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. A private family memorial service will follow.
