Wava Belknap, age 81 of Clyde, passed away Monday, May 27, 2019 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. Wava was born June 27, 1937 in Virginia the daughter of the late Robert and Nelia (Stuart) Maines. Wava was a member of Harvest Baptist Temple in Clyde. She enjoyed baking, going to garage sales, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Wava is survived by her sons: Art (Karen) Maines of Clyde, Mike (Becky) Posey of Bellevue, Kenneth (Kimberly) Posey of Tennessee, and Ted (Michelle) Posey of Clyde; daughters: Kathy (Jim) Meadows of Clyde, Karen Posey of Bellevue; Heather (Jamie) Slaven of Fremont, and Angela (William Black) Taylor of Fremont; 26 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; brother, Charles Maines of Clyde; and sister, Rita Mae Brooks of Bellevue. In addition to her parents, Wava is preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Posey; second husband, Edwin Belknap; brothers: Cliff Maines, James Maines, Dale Maines, Rob Maines, Bill Maines, and Bradley Maines; sisters: Virginia Maines and Evelyn Smith. Friends will be received on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 10:00am until a funeral service beginning at 12:00, noon, at Harvest Baptist Temple, 1022 S Main St, Clyde, OH 43410. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Wava’s honor to the National Kidney Foundation, at www.kidney.org.
