Virginia Wood Canter, 89, of Bristol, VA died Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Ballad Hospice House. She was a native of Elizabethton, TN and had lived in Bristol since 1957. She was of the Episcopal faith. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from ETSU and a Master of Science degree from the University of TN. She retired from Virginia Intermont College after having served for 31 years as an Instructor and Registrar. Virginia is survived by her two sons, Daniel R. Canter and family of Chagrin Falls, OH and David L. Canter and family of Chattanooga, TN; and several nieces and nephews. As specifically requested by the deceased there will be no services.
