Ms. Vera Ann McLeod James entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 23, 2019 in Long Beach, New York. Funeral services for Ms. James will be conducted on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. from the Vision of Life Ministries in Latta, South Carolina where Bishop Albert McLeod is the pastor and Bishop Freeman McLeod will be the Eulogist. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery. Obituary Ms. Vera Ann McLeod James daughter of the late Layton and Grady McLeod was born on June 23, 1938 in Dillon, South Carolina and depated this life on Monday, April 23, 2019 in Long Beach, New York. Vera attended the Dillon County Public Schools. She was a member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Inwood, New York. Aunt Vip, as we all called her, was a retired factory worker who also enjoyed fishing, talking and just enjoyed her life. Vera was preceeded in death by a son Billy Warren McLeod. Left to cherish fond memories is a loving son Johnny McLeod and daughter; Tammie Bilbro, sisters: Emma Bethea, and Marie Goings both of Dillon, South Carolina and brother Joshus McLeod also of Dillon, South Carolina. Grandchildren: Shambeck McLeod, Randee Santos, Corey Santos, Tiffany Santos, Jasmine Santos, Jessica Bilbro and Tatianna, Kimberly and Ariel Mcloed, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
