Thomas Keith Frederick, 87 CALCUTTA – Thomas Keith Frederick, of Lisbon, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at the Calcutta Health Care Center following a lengthy illness. He was 87. Born in East Liverpool, he was a son of the late Robert H. and Elsie M. Wilton Frederick. He attended East Liverpool High School, Ohio Valley Business College and Gateway Technical School. He was a provider at the former Crucible Steel Company in the Cold Strip Shipping Floor until his retirement in 1982. He was also a refrigeration technician. He was a member of East Liverpool Masonic Lodge #681 of the Free and Accepted Masons. Tom was an avid golfer and bowler. Many knew him as a great dance partner with his loving wife of 67 years. Above all things in life, Tom loved to be with his family and friends. He coached his sons’ little league baseball teams and enjoyed horses with his daughter and granddaughter. He was a Cincinnati Bearcat football fan and attended many games to watch his grandson play. He is survived by his wife, Carrol V. Andersen Frederick. The couple met in Portland, Oregon while he was serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and would later marry November 10, 1951. He is also survived by a son, Richard Frederick and his wife, Dawn, of Ft. Myers and a daughter, Patty Hoppel and her husband, Carl, of Lisbon, as well as a daughter-in-law, Wanda Frederick of Virginia. There are seven grandchildren: Anthony Frederick, Sunny Hoppel Wright, Thomas Frederick, Christopher Frederick, Adam Hoppel, Keith Frederick and Benjamin Frederick, and eight great-grandchildren: Wyatt Wright, Valin, Petra, Ian, Olivia, Liam, Orion and Adilae Frederick. A sister survives as well, Carolyn Linger of Texas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Frederick, a sister, Alice Mae Crabtree, and four brothers: Robert, William, John Clifford and Dale Frederick. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Dawson Funeral Home. As per his wishes, there will be no public services. He will be laid to rest at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
