Sturbridge – Steven Patrick Ruppert, 15, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 28, 2019. Born in Southbridge, MA on June 20, 2003, Steven is the youngest son of Calvin F. Ruppert, Jr., of Charlton, MA and Elizabeth L. (Vieira) Finney of Sturbridge, MA. He is also survived by his brother, Damen Ruppert, of Sturbridge; his sister, Jessica Ruppert, of Brighton, MA; his paternal grandparents, Calvin F. and Marylou Ruppert, Sr.; his partner, Alix; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; his cat Kaboodle, and his bearded dragon, Yig. A lifelong Sturbridge resident, Steven was a sophomore at Tantasqua Regional Technical High School in Fiskdale, MA. Steven had a varied list of passions and interests ranging from the creative, such as sketching and painting, to the inquisitive such exploring on his bike. His kind heart and gentle nature were always on display when he was with animals, he loved any excuse to go for a long walk in the woods. Building cairns, especially along lake shorelines, was a beautiful intersection of his mind’s focus. Calling hours will be Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 10am-11:45am with a funeral service at 12 Noon at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation in Steven’s name to the National Wildlife Federation or The Autism Resource Center of Central Massachusetts.
