Mrs. Shirley Mae Lampley Haney, 82, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019, at her home in Kannapolis. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Corriher Heights Baptist Church. Rev. Jeremy Collins will officiate. Interment will follow at 4:00 pm Saturday at Hurst Family Cemetery in Chesterfield. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Friday at Lady’s Funeral Home. Mrs. Haney was born December 28, 1936 in Chesterfield, SC. She was a daughter of the late James Robert Lampley and Mary Clara Boan Lampley. She retired from the #6 Weave Room of Cannon Mills Plant 1. She was a member of Corriher Heights Baptist Church in China Grove. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hayward Haney; two sisters, Marilyn Burr and Patricia Brigman; brother, Otis Lampley; and a grandson, Justin Haney. Mrs. Haney is survived by four sons, James Haney and wife Brenda of Kannapolis, Joel Haney of China Grove, Tommy Haney and wife Chris of China Grove and Jeff Haney and fiancée Nikki Haney of Kannapolis; brother, Jimmy Lampley and wife Sherry of Cheraw, SC; six grandchildren, Susan Martin, Elizabeth Jackson and husband Joshua, Jeremy Haney, Jordan Haney, Jonathan Hurlman and Joshua Haney; and three great grandchildren, Jacob Martin, Mackenzie Jackson and Grayson Martin. Memorials may be sent to Corriher Heights Baptist Church, 1980 NC Highway 153, China Grove, NC 28023.
