Shirley Jean Beatty May 31, 1929 – May 28, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Shirley Jean Beatty, 89, died Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Covington’s Convalescent Center & Rehab in Hopkinsville, KY. Shirley was born May 31, 1929, in Alpine, KY to the late Herbert A. Beatty and Effie J. Hoff Beatty. Shirley was retired from Citizen’s National Bank in Somerset, Ky. She was a member of Sloans Valley Baptist Church in Burnside, KY, where she played the organ for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Jack Allen and Norman Theo “Ricky” Beatty, and her nephews Lynn and David Walker. She is survived by her sister Betty Jo Beatty Walker, Hamilton, OH and sister-in-law Kathy Martin (Ricky) Beatty, Hustonville, KY, six nieces and three nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and several great, great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Pulaski Funeral Home, Somerset from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Friday, May 31, 2019 to be followed by graveside services and burial at Greenwood Cemetery in McCreary County at 1:00 p.m. Friday.
