Obituary for Shirley H. Krauss Shirley Krauss, 82, of Summerfield FL, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at the Brandley House in Summerfield, FL. Shirley was born Nov. 11, 1936 in Elk County, PA to the late Rev. Bernard Charles and Alice Walton Himes. She was married Dec. 23, 1965 in Clarion, PA to Leonard Krauss. Shirley was a member of Community United Methodist Church in Fruitland Park, FL. She was an elementary school teacher for 32 years, having taught in PA, Africa, and NC. Her favorite pastime was oil painting. Shirley was preceded in death by her brothers, Rev. Thomas Himes, Rev. George Himes, Rev. Raymond Himes, Robert, Alvin, and Charles Himes, and a sister, Alice Marvin. She is survived by her husband, Leonard, her son, Kirk, daughter-in-law Anna, and one granddaughter, Simone. Also surviving are her Brother, Donald Himes and his wife Julie, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Community United Methodist Church, 309 College Ave., Fruitland Park, FL at 11:00 AM Friday, May 31, 2019. Reception following service.
