Sherry Kay Summers, 67, of Mocksville passed away peacefully on May 24, 2019 in Winston-Salem with her family by her side. Sherry was born October 7, 1951 in Boone, West Virginia, a daughter to the late Beatrice Miller. Sherry attended schools in Dunbar, WV and in 1974 married Keith Edward Summers. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Larry Lucas. In life, Sherry worked for Baker Furniture as a sander. She attended Trinity Baptist Church and loved dancing. Sherry always put others before herself and was eager to take care of her loved ones in their time of need. She is survived by a large and loving family, including her husband of 45 years Keith Summers, son David A. Summers (Sheryl) of Hope Mills, son David W. Summers of Haymarket, VA, son Allan W. Summers of Mocksville, daughter Lori A. Mercer (Mike) of Mentor, Ohio, daughter Brooke Summers of Mocksville, brother Robert Lucas (Lisa) of Yadkinville, sister Lynn Harrison (Cricket) of Mocksville, grandchildren Zachary, Adam, Brianna, Mikey, Nicholas, Joshua and Madison and one great-grandchild, Kinslee.
