Sharlene L. Robinson Kearney Resident Sharlene L. Robinson, 84, of Kearney passed away on Sunday, May 05, 2019 at her home in Kearney. Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Friday, May 10, 2019 at Kearney E-Free Church. Pastor Brian Klein will officiate. Inurnment will follow at the Overton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Chapel in Elm Creek. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Storehouse at Kearney E-Free Church. Condolences may be shared online at www.osrfh.com. Services are entrusted to O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services. Sharlene Louise Robinson was born on December 16, 1934 in Lexington to Milton Edwin and Verna Louise (Lux) Biehl. She received her education from Lexington High School graduating with the class of 1952. On December 7, 1952 Sharlene was united in marriage to Kenneth Robinson at the First Presbyterian Church in Lexington and to this union five children were born: Jenny, Mike, Bill, Brent and Sam. The family lived in the Overton and Elm Creek area most of their lives, where the couple farmed together. Sharlene was a member of Kearney E-Free Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and ceramics, but above all she valued her time spent with her family. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jenny Meier and her husband, Mike of Elm Creek, Mike Robinson and his wife, Peg and Bill Robinson and his wife, Dallas, both of Kearney, Brent Robinson and his wife, Dina and Sam Robinson and his wife, Holly, both of Elm Creek; 19 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Biehl and his wife, Marge of Tucson, Arizona; along with other relatives and many friends. Sharlene was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her parents; and her brother, Dean Biehl.
