Sarah’s Obituary Sarah E. Hopper, age 40, of Lake Station, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. She was born in Valparaiso, Indiana on December 22, 1978 to the late Lecil and Donna (nee Laskowski) Hopper. She worked as a receptionist for Healthy Kids at Community Hospital. She enjoyed giving back by doing cancer walks for various organizations and was skilled at making crafts in her free time. She loved rainbows, fresh snowfall, and had a connection from the time she was a little girl with sand between her toes and sunsets from a beach. Sarah is survived by her companion of 21 years, Shaun Dugan; sister, Shelia Hopper; brother, David Hopper; nieces and nephews, Anthony Hopper, Michael Kushneruk, Austin Letcho, Bradley Letcho, Ethan Hopper, Alexsis Hopper, Brayden Hopper-Ayala, Matthew Kushneruk, Carter Hopper-Ayala, Madison Kushneruk; and her fur babies, Casey and Bella. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Hopper; and her parents.
