Law (nee: Powers), 82 years of age, and a resident of South Amherst, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Amherst Manor Nursing Home. She was born November 23, 1936 in Amherst. Sandra was a lifetime resident of South Amherst. Sandra was employed as a deputy Clerk at Oberlin Municipal Court for twenty-two years. She was a former member of the First Congregational Church in South Amherst. Sandra enjoyed crocheting baby hats for the babies at Amherst Hospital. Her hobbies included reading and gardening. Survivors include her sons Scott A. Law (Faith) of Wellsburg, West Virginia, Frank Law of Tampa, Florida; her daughters Doralee Law (Gladys) of St. Petersburg, Florida, Beth Sanders (Larry) of Wakeman; her grandchildren, Ryan and Blake Sanders, Scott (Lindsey), Rachel and Rebecca Law; her great grandchildren Tucker and Adeline. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years Jack E. Law on March 18, 2013; her sister Phyllis Sawyer; and her parents Frank and Dorothy Powers (nee: Hoffner). Friends may call Monday, May 20, 2019, from 5-8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Boy Scouts of America; Lake Erie Council, 2241 Woodland Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44115.
