Ruth Ann Myers, 74, formerly of Newville, PA passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019 in the Forest Park Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle. She was born March 6, 1945 in Carlisle to the late Lloyd and Ethel (Pompeo) Myers and was the widow of Ray R. Myers Jr., who passed away July 16, 2016. Ruth Ann retired from Ruth Ann Myers Flowers, a custom flower business and was a 50 year member of the Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church. She had a great love for the ministry to people who lost children or loved ones. Ruth Ann was an avid supporter of the Gift of Life program, having donated organs when her daughter, Lisa passed away. Surviving are her sons, Robert L. Ferree Jr. and fiance, Carley Peterson of Mt. Holly Springs and Ryan D. Ferree of Newville; grandson, Layne Ferree; and siblings, David L. Myers of Newville and Dorothy J. Myers, of Mt. Holly Springs. In addition to her husband, Ruth Ann is preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Ann Ferree. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church, 202 W. Butler St., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Rev. Ed B. Alwine officiating. A memorial luncheon will be held following the service and burial will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church.
