Roy Thomas Shumaker, 67, of 304 Atwater Street, Yanceyville, NC died suddenly on Friday, May 24, 2019 in SOVAH Danville after being in declining health for the past four months. Roy was born in Caswell County on August 20, 1951 a son to the late James Roy Shumaker and Marie Huffman Shumaker. He had lived all of his life in Caswell County where he worked as a mechanic until his retirement due to his health. He was of the Baptist Faith. Roy is survived by his mother, of Yanceyville, two daughters, Cynthia Marie Shumaker & Angelia Lynn Shumaker, two sisters, Virginia M. Taylor (Jimmy), Peggy Shumaker all of Yanceyville, NC, two brothers, Clayton Shumaker of Yanceyville, NC and Robert Shumaker of Martinsville, VA. He was predeceased by his father. A Private Memorial Service for Roy will be conducted on a later date.
