Roy Lee Jackson (Gabby) age 67, of Marion was born October 18, 1951. He is preceded in death by his mother Sally Wilkerson Jackson and his father Francis Jackson. Roy enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends. He is survived by six siblings, Margaret Morrison (John) of Marion, Willie Jackson (Loretta) of Morganton, Jackie Jackson ( Patsy) of Asheville, Earlia Jackson of Charlotte, Danny Jackson of Charlotte and Francis Jackson Jr. of Marion; two nieces Annetria Lattimore and Kanika Jackson; one nephew Tarus Jackson; six great nieces and nephews; two aunts Hattie Kelly of Marion and Vina Black of Asheville. Also surviving Roy are two special friends Kathy Watkins and Janice Pearson and a host of cousins. The family of Mr. Jackson will be receiving friends at Margaret Morrison’s home, 81 Mitchell Street, Marion, North Carolina. The family would like to thank all his running buddies and friends, as well as the staff at Willow Ridge and Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
