Robert H. Crane, age 94 formerly of Hammond, IN passed away Friday, May 3, 2019. He is survived by his daughter, Debra Hill; granddaughter, Gicela (Daniel) Natarelli; 2 great grandchildren: Daniel and Madelynn; niece, Janus Lockhart and her son Alan. Preceded in death by his parents, Mahlon and Laura Crane; 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 10:00 am at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN with Rev. Terry Steffens officiating. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME will be from 9:00 am until time of service Tuesday morning. Robert retired from Inland Steel Company in 1968 after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Inland 25 year Club and USWA Local #1010, and he was a W.W. II U. S. Army Veteran.
