Robert Eugene “Bobby” Macon, 81, of Seagrove, died Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Randolph Health in Asheboro. Funeral Services, 3:00 pm, Friday, May 17, 2019, at Antioch Christian Church, Seagrove. Officiating, Rev. Bryan Maness, Rev. Brian Faircloth, Rev. Gerald Ward. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Bobby was a native of Floyd County, Kentucky, a retired farmer, and a member of Antioch Christian Church. He was a loving husband, father, and loved his extended family. Bobby served on the board of Randolph Communications from 1985-2012. He was a trustee and chairman of the Building Committee for the church’s current sanctuary. He was preceded in death by parents, James Russell and Allie Hall Macon, son-in-law, Tony Auman, daughter-in-law, Kay Macon. Survivors: wife, Betty Asbill Macon, of the home, daughter, Joan Macon Brown, and husband, Alden, of Asheboro, son, Mike Eugene Macon, of Seagrove, grandchildren, Beth Trogdon, and husband, Chris, Kathryn Gillispie, and husband, Luke, Logan Macon, step-grandson, Craig Brown, and wife Kayla, five great-grandchildren.
