Robert A. Gross, 81, of Lewistown, Granville Township, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at his home. Born April 30, 1938, in Beaver Falls, Beaver County, he was a son of the late Irvin Sr. and Gertrude R. (Murphy) Gross. Robert is survived by: his wife, Barbara (Cerny) Gross; children, Robert A. Gross Jr., of Steelton, and Ruth A. Gross, of Wormleysburg; and siblings, David Gross and wife, Mary Lou, of Ohio, Irvin Gross Jr. and wife, Cheryl, of West Virginia, Jack Gross and wife, Dari, of Sewickley, and Dale Gross, of California. He graduated from North Allegheny High School and Geneva College. He was employed as an industrial engineer at Standard Steel for many years before retiring. Robert loved photography. A viewing will be held from noon to 1 p.m., Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main St., Lewistown. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., with Father Jayaseelan Amalanthan officiating. Interment will take place at Mount Rock Cemetery, Lewistown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Donations may be made to: Charity of One’s Choice
