Richard’s Obituary Richard Kevin Layton passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at his home at the age of 66. Born in Red Bank, NJ, son of the late Ruth (Voorhees) and Edgar Layton, Richard moved to the Philadelphia area in 2017. He had lived all across the United States throughout his lifetime. He loved vintage electronic gadgets. Until his retirement in 2017, Richard spent his career as a Software Developer for the military and General Electric Corporation. He achieved his Bachelors Degree at Monmouth College, currently Monmouth University. Richard is survived by his brothers, James Layton (Linda), Gary Layton (Shelly), and his sister-in-law, Geraldine Wainwright. He will also be sadly missed by his nephew, Christopher Layton; nieces, Catherine Layton, Heather Layton and Sinead Doherty; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, May 20, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Interment will be held privately.
